1. What cookies are
1.1. Cookies are small text files which are stored in the browser when the Site is visited and which make it possible to recognise the browser on subsequent visits. Similar technologies include the browser's local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage), web beacons (pixels), attendance counter scripts and device identifiers.
1.2. The information collected by means of cookies (cookie identifier, IP address, browser and device data, page viewing history), taken together, makes it possible to single out a particular user and, in accordance with subparagraph 2) of Article 1 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 94-V dated 21 May 2013 "On Personal Data and Their Protection", is regarded by the Operator as personal data supplemented by identifiers. Their processing is carried out on the terms of the Privacy Policy (https://go.ala.kz/en/privacy.html).

2. Legal ground for the use of cookies
2.1. Strictly necessary (technical) files are used on the basis of the legitimate interest of ensuring the operability and security of the Site and do not require separate consent: without them the Site cannot function correctly.
2.2. Analytics, statistical and marketing files are used exclusively after the consent of the user has been obtained, expressed by an active action in the consent banner. Until consent has been obtained, the corresponding scripts are not loaded and the files are not set (the *prior consent* model).
2.3. The user shall be entitled at any time to change or withdraw their decision. Refusing consent shall be technically just as simple as giving it.

3.4. Third-party files upon navigation to external resources
Upon navigation via links to ala-cargo.com, wa.me (WhatsApp), 2gis.kz and other external resources, cookies are set by the owners of those resources on the terms of their own documents. The Operator does not control such files.
4. Management of cookies
4.1. Via the banner and the settings window on the Site. On the first visit, a banner with a choice is displayed. The decision may be changed at any time via the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
4.2. Via browser settings. The user shall be entitled to prohibit the saving of cookies, to delete previously saved files and to clear the local storage. The relevant sections are: Google Chrome – "Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies"; Mozilla Firefox – "Settings → Privacy & Security"; Safari – "Settings → Privacy"; Microsoft Edge – "Settings → Cookies and site permissions".
4.3. Via the opt-out tools of the analytics providers:
- Yandex.Metrica – the data collection blocker provided by the service provider;
- Google Analytics – the browser add-on for disabling Google Analytics.
4.4. Disabling strictly necessary files may result in the incorrect operation of individual functions of the Site. Disabling analytics files does not affect the availability of the Site.
5. Storage periods and cross-border transfer
5.1. The storage periods are specified in Section 3. Upon the expiry of the period, the files are deleted automatically or renewed upon new consent.
5.2. The data collected by the web analytics services are transferred to the providers of those services and may be processed within the territory of the Russian Federation, the United States of America and the countries of the European Union. Such transfer constitutes a cross-border transfer and is carried out on the basis of the consent of the user (subparagraph 1) of paragraph 3 of Article 16 of the Personal Data Law).
5.3. A user who has refused analytics cookies shall retain full access to the content of the Site.
6. Amendments to the Cookie Policy
6.1. The current revision is published at https://go.ala.kz/en/cookies.html, with an indication of the effective date.
6.2. Where a change in the set of services used entails an expansion of the volume of data collected or of the range of recipients, consent shall be requested anew.
